Stone Henge was published in Thomas Hearne and William Byrne’s collaborative project: The Antiquities of Great Britain, illustrated in views of monasteries, castles and churches now existing. The original drawings for the series were produced by Hearne from 1777; Byrne engraved them and prepared letterpress descriptions in French and English. Individual sets of plates were available to buy a year later, and in 1786 the first fifty-two plates were bound and published as a book. The second volume of thirty-two engravings was issued in 1806
Digitally remastered and available on three different types of fine art paper in two different sizes, the high-resolution reproduction is Giclée printed on all paper types using archival grade pigment inks.
