Here we present a range of contours acquired from a digital terrain model of the Avebury Landscape. Terrain models are three-dimensional captures from multi-angle and airborne LIDAR Laser scans of the landscape. There are four different measurements of contours 20cm, 15c, 10cm and 5cm.
The combined contour map is more popular as it shows the indentations in the soil where buried stones or stone related features congregate. Interestingly, the map correlates with parch mark maps and the limited Geophysical surveys held at the site.
